Corobeus courses are designed for participants who wish to work in the sporting arena for athlete medical care.
The courses vary from those applicable to the lay person, to those working in sport both at the amateur and elite levels.
EMMiITS is an advanced first aid course and is aimed at the medical professional (inclusive of Doctor and Therapist) with post graduate experience in sport and exercise medicine working at the semi-professional and elite levels of sport. EMMiITS is approved (Level II faculty prehospital care) by the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh (RCSEd) and at the Gold standard award by the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Sports Medicine (ACPSM).
EMFAiS is targeted at medical professionals and those allied to the medical profession and those working in sport on a regular basis at any level with the delivery of on-the-field care.
There is no pre-requesite for EFAiS, anyone interested in the application of sports specific first aid can attend this course and gain an HSE approved certification.
All courses are delivered by experienced personnel who have a vast area of expertise in pre-hospital care and care of the injured athlete. Course content is based upon current best practice guidelines, HSE regulations, European Resuscitation guidelines as well as consideration of JRCALC and other pre-hospital and trauma based courses (e.g. ALS, ATLS).
With all courses, candidates are advised to work within their own clinical competencies at all times and to check with their professional body as to what skills they can utilise.
